Supporting Children’s Homes to Foster Stability and Growth for Vulnerable and Underserved Children
Children’s homes provide safe shelter, education, and psychological support, helping to address poverty and providing youth homelessness solutions for a brighter, sustainable future.
How We Are Changing Lives
Offering counseling and mental health services to promote healing and resilience.
Improving the living standard of children living in children’s homes and orphanages.
Ensuring access to quality education and learning resources.
Hurdles In The Way
- Lack of Resources in the Face of Need:
Countless children’s homes lack adequate resources to provide for the essential needs of the children in their care including, food, water, medicine, hygiene products, and electricity and often also struggle with connectivity to cities and transport.
- Lack of Education:
The lack of access to quality education and essential academic resources keeps children from gaining the skills and knowledge needed to shape their futures.
- Unaddressed Trauma and Emotional Scars:
Psychological wounds from past neglect and trauma hinder children’s confidence and resilience, leaving them unable to rebuild their lives without proper support.
What We Have Achieved So Far
In collaboration with local organizations, Girl Power USA delivers vital support where it’s needed most. At Tollen Children’s Home, we provided a 1000-liter water tank to combat water scarcity, along with food and sanitary pads.
For Total Rehab Center, we purchased 100 chicks to enhance nutrition and generate income for medical care. We also installed solar panels to improve nighttime productivity for schoolwork.
Our comprehensive approach includes counseling, resilience workshops, and caregiver training to ensure long-term sustainability. We’ve conducted sessions on financial literacy and hygiene, equipping children with essential life skills. Additionally, we organized fun days for the residents, complete with feasts, cake, and games.
