Baldwin Subaru
Baldwin Subaru joined our community of global changemakers as a Business Which Cares in September 2024. Committed to the cause of empowering women through education and transformative learning initiatives, they have been sponsoring Girl Power USA to support students, especially girls, to leverage the transformative power of education to change their lives and communities.
Impact Created
Through Baldwin Subaru’s support, Girl Power USA has increased its focus and support to students in Africa and Asia. Currently, part of the contribution is being used to help support Agnes Amidiong, a medical student in Uganda.
Fuelled by the desire to help others avoid what her father faced due to medical negligence, Agnes is determined to make a successful career in Healthcare. However, due to financial constraints and the degrading medical system of Uganda, she has faced multiple obstacles on her path. Through Girl Power USA and Baldwin Subaru’s support, she can continue her journey as a doctor. With her expertise, she hopes to do research in the future into the mindsets of medical students as well as patients to identify areas that need improvement.
Badwin Subaru’s contribution has also helped us create networking and interactive sessions and events with our beneficiaries in Kenya and Uganda. These events provide a platform for communication and encouragement for the beneficiaries along with much-needed global exposure.

Grossman Burn Center
Grossman Burn Center through the Grossman Burn Foundation has been a part of the Girl Power USA community since July 2023. As a Business Which Cares, they are committed to using their specialty and experience in burn patient care to reach remoter parts of the globe. With Girl Power USA, they aim to increase specialists in the area of burn treatment and proper healthcare.
Impact Created
Through our partnership with the Grossman Burn Foundation, Girl Power USA has been supporting doctors in countries like Uganda to gain expertise in burn treatments burn treatments and provide specialized equipment for the procedures. Due to a lack of such specialized care, understanding, treatable burns often hinder the lives of victims.
We are also working alongside Grossman Burn Foundation to train and equip specialized burn units in 9 hospitals in Uganda to further improve access to dedicated treatment.
Together, Grossman Burn Foundation and Girl Power USA are also supporting Sheroes, a cafe run by acid attack survivors through engagement and helping increase their reach.
About the Company
The Grossman Burn Centers are plastic surgery-based medical centers of excellence specializing in the comprehensive treatment of burns. Through the Grossman Burn Foundation, they strive to build local capacity and cultivate global partnerships that facilitate the treatment, care, and support of burn survivors and their families.
Grossman Burn Foundation’s support has been transformative for several of our projects and we are grateful for this relationship. Together we are transforming healthcare in areas of remote access and awareness.
Scoogie Events
Scoogie Events has been an ambassador and sponsor of Girl Power USA since 2024. Being a Business Which Cares, a percentage of every runner registration in a Scoogie event is donated to Girl Power USA to showcase their commitment to our foundation’s vision, values, and work.
Impact Created
Our partnership with Scoogie showcases their commitment to adding meaning to every event they do and making the run that much more meaningful for each participant. Girl Power USA is using its contribution to bring change across the globe, including in particular the Eco Warriors Football team in Uganda.
Run by Derrick, the team was constituted to help engage and keep girls in school while teaching them soft skills and training them as environmental activists through the power of football. Our program has helped provide essential resources including balls, cones, nets, and jerseys and we have an ongoing campaign to buy each of the girls in the team a pair of running shoes.
The support from Scoogie, and every participant who registers in an event, allows us to support programs such as these and more. We are focused on sustainability and tailoring solutions that have cascading effects in transforming the lives of entire communities.
