Baldwin Subaru joined our community of global changemakers as a Business Which Cares in September 2024. Committed to the cause of empowering women through education and transformative learning initiatives, they have been sponsoring Girl Power USA to support students, especially girls, to leverage the transformative power of education to change their lives and communities.
Impact Created
Through Baldwin Subaru’s support, Girl Power USA has increased its focus and support to students in Africa and Asia. Currently, part of the contribution is being used to help support Agnes Amidiong, a medical student in Uganda.
Fuelled by the desire to help others avoid what her father faced due to medical negligence, Agnes is determined to make a successful career in Healthcare. However, due to financial constraints and the degrading medical system of Uganda, she has faced multiple obstacles on her path. Through Girl Power USA and Baldwin Subaru’s support, she can continue her journey as a doctor. With her expertise, she hopes to do research in the future into the mindsets of medical students as well as patients to identify areas that need improvement.
Badwin Subaru’s contribution has also helped us create networking and interactive sessions and events with our beneficiaries in Kenya and Uganda. These events provide a platform for communication and encouragement for the beneficiaries along with much-needed global exposure.
