Our approach at Girl Power USA is focused on bringing sustainable change. We are empowering our beneficiaries to transform their own lives and their communities. As opposed to a one-time charity, we are creating long-term change by imparting skills, knowledge, and the resources required to access opportunities.
Our History
Girl Power USA is a manifestation of the altruistic passion in our team at our sister organization, Girl Power Talk — A social enterprise providing employment and leadership opportunities to women and youth in developing economies. Through our non-profit arm we wanted to extend and streamline the social impact work we were doing with Girl Power Talk. We wanted to involve a broader community including donors, leverage grant opportunities, and dedicatedly create change. We established Girl Power USA to focus solely on generating impact and collaborating with others to help them leave a legacy of giving as well. We are the bridge between altruistic individuals who have resources but don’t know where to start and the communities that need those resources.
Our Funding
Girl Power USA is funded by grants, individual donations, and corporate sponsorships. Our goal is to provide meaningful choices to donors to create social impact. We work with partner organizations to help establish their CSR departments where our values and vision align. All contributions to Girl Power USA are accounted for and the donors are given detailed information about how we use their generous contributions. We are building a transparent structure for our community to be actively involved in our process of social change, exactly how they want it to be.

“Girl Power USA supported S.A.L.V.E. International during an event in Jinja, Uganda, to celebrate International Day for Street Children. At very short notice, they were able to send a medical team to conduct free health checks for the children taking part in the event.
